I can't find session 12 from Saturday. Can anybody else?

It could just be low scoring panels. As long as it is across the board and everyone is receiving low scores, it shouldn't be a problem.

Teams that have consistently been scoring lower than ours (and sometimes by large margins) are scoring higher than ours. And it's not a "they hit, we fell," circumstance either. By the way I'd like to add I am no longer a coach, athlete, or parent of UA anymore, just merely a fan.

fferent judges, see different things. I judge, and coach, I understand both sides.... I was in Dayton judging, and people were confused... One girl or boy doing something different can change on JAMfest grid....

I can totally understand that, but there were discrepancies within the same session as well with the same set of judges. ultimatelegacy, I noticed too. Actually talked to the coaches about it today.

Example: Level 1 session. Top few Mini 1 teams scored around 90 and totally deserved it. I know the Jam Brands score sheet very well, and those were appropriate scores. Great, clean routines, maxed out difficulty. The Junior 1 team from Team Illinois Cheer, which is an amazingly good Jr 1 team and had no deductions yesterday, only scored 82.46? They were outscored by 8 Mini 1 teams, some of which had stunt falls, pyramid collapses, etc. We had 5 points in deductions on Day 1, but that would have only put our raw score at an 84. The exact same routine scored a 90.10 average at Jamfest Super Nationals 2 weeks ago.

I get that different competitions and different judges may score differently (though 6 points seems a little extreme on the same scoring system). However, the discrepancies within the same session, same level, with the same judges, is completely unacceptable for a major competition.

i saw on twitter that Indiana Ultimate Small Coed 5 got Legality Deduction that cost them full paid bid. could anyone give clear explanation about this? thanks

I think the only disappointment about the scoring is teams in level 5 that hit, (great job ) by the way. But their level of difficulty was not the same, not just in stunting , but jumps to tuck, tumbling etc. Which is the score sheet for Jambrands. But at worlds not only have to hit, but if you dont have the full package you wont make it into second day.

katstat1. Just saw a picture that some of your team took with our Level 5 team. Thanks for taking the time. Over the weekend - I saw so many people hugging others in different uniforms. Glad to see the comradery and sportsmanship between teams.

Honestly as a coach it is important to know the scoring grid of the competition u are attending. Every good lvl 5 coach knows that difficulty is not weighted as high at jam comps, so they would b smart to make their routine cleaner and safer, I'm sure u won't see the same routines displayed at worlds if they know that score sheet as well. Basically I don't understand being "disappointed" with the judging, the scoring grid is public knowledge, everyone has the same opportunity to read it and maximize on in whatever way works best for their team.
