I am not aware of any in our area. We have co owners. Gyms run by a board sounds pretty scary. Kind of like how our government is running right now.

I'm mystified by this. Who founded the gym in the first place? Was/is there an owner but now the board has the final say? Who makes up this board and how was it determined they would be the decision makers? Is there one head person who has the final say or does that not even exist? I just cannot imagine a gym being run this way and being even remotely successful. That's basically how it is. They refuse to let us have two practices a week per team, and instead have several "tumbling classes" a week for girls that aren't even on the teams. They never meet to discuss things that need improved, and overall just make coaching there very stressful.

Sounds like a terrible set up. I feel bad for the athletes and their parents. Do the coaches have a say in anything? It was a merge of two gyms, lots of drama took place that I don't know the entire story of, the board is two cheer dads and the president has a daughter that used to cheer but now doesn't, and he coaches youth football. He is supposed to have final say over everything. It's a mess, to say the least

It sounds more like youth league cheer rather than an all-star gym. It must be supremely frustrating for all the coaches, and I am amazed that coaches and athletes have not left especially if they are practicing only once a week as dictated by the board.
