Hi there! I’m a long time fan of cheerleading, ever since I made the choice to do colorguard and dance instead of cheer back in middle school. I’ve watched countless routines on YouTube and watched the Worlds livestream the past couple years and just adored it. My birthday is always right when it happens too, so I’ve always wanted to make a trip of it and go. This upcoming year it’s looking like I’ll finally be able to afford it! Bad news is, I’m a total newbie to traveling. I’m from a super small farm town and haven’t travelled many places, much less somewhere so large and for such a large event. I can handle most of the traveling planning with my loved ones who have travelled more, but I don’t know anyone who knows anything about cheer, so I’m completely lost on how it’ll work once I get to the park(I think it’s at an amusement park, right?) Do I need full day park passes for all the days or are there special passes to just watch the event? How do you manage to keep up with all the teams on the different stages? What things should I bring people don’t think of/forget often? Nothing is off limits, I’ll take any advice y’all can think of. I’m so scared but also so excited :)
