Hi there! I’m a long time fan of cheerleading, ever since I made the choice to do colorguard and dance instead of cheer back in middle school. I’ve watched countless routines on YouTube and watched the Worlds livestream the past couple years and just adored it. My birthday is always right when it happens too, so I’ve always wanted to make a trip of it and go. This upcoming year it’s looking like I’ll finally be able to afford it! Bad news is, I’m a total newbie to traveling. I’m from a super small farm town and haven’t travelled many places, much less somewhere so large and for such a large event. I can handle most of the traveling planning with my loved ones who have travelled more, but I don’t know anyone who knows anything about cheer, so I’m completely lost on how it’ll work once I get to the park(I think it’s at an amusement park, right?) Do I need full day park passes for all the days or are there special passes to just watch the event? How do you manage to keep up with all the teams on the different stages? What things should I bring people don’t think of/forget often? Nothing is off limits, I’ll take any advice y’all can think of. I’m so scared but also so excited :)

Schedules are posted to the USASF website about 2 weeks before the event. A block schedule comes out in maybe Jan/Feb?

Worlds is at EPSN, not a park. You do need a day ticket for each day you go. I think they're about $50USD per day, but they get you in to all 3 venues there. You can buy them ahead of time, or at the door, but it is online purchase. They usually have QR codes on site and you can buy them that way. Ticket is digital to your phone to get you in

Be prepared that the venues will be pretty full for the popular divisions, but if you're going alone, it shouldn't be too hard to find a single seat.

Each venue has a fan zone line up outside (inside at Visa/Athletic centre) to put you front row to cheer on a team, but you have to leave the venue back outside immediately after that team so if you're wanting to watch several teams in that division, you'll have to go back to find a seat, or line up again for the fan zone. You need your ticket to get into the fan zone at the Arena

Uber to the venue is probably the easiest, though there is parking available

Its stupid hot outside, but it'll get cold in the venue if you're there for the day, so bring a hoodie or something to put on if needed

I'd suggest to make a list of your teams/divisions you need to see, and then make note of when and which venue and that will help with when you need to move venues or can get a good seat and stay. They are usually triple panelled for judging. If you can go earlier in the day and do a quick walk around ESPN, you'll figure it out quick where things are

Also, ICU happens Wed-Fri (I think?). Go see the ICU teams! There are some incredible teams and it's super fun to yell their cheers with them as most countries keep the same cheer from year to year
