Hello everyone---I finally joined after a bit of lurking around after I came across this board researching various info for my CP...and might I add this board has been tremendously helpful! My daughter is 8 and has been in All Star cheer since age 4---it was the only thing we found that actually tired her out a little. :) We had NO idea what we were getting ourselves into, I thought it was just going to be a cute little cheer class every once in a while. Man we were in for a surprise, especially the hubby! She is currently on a youth 2 team and I'm so excited for the season!! Anyway, I look forward to getting to know some fellow parents.

Welcome! I'm new as well with a 7 yr old. She is doing rec/allstar prep this year, and once she gets her BHS she wants to go full allstar. I had no idea what I was getting into either!

Thanks!! It's a wild ride for sure huh? :) We will be in Vegas for competition in May--so excited--especially because it will be warm (or hot) then right? Seems like I always go there when it's too cold to hang out by the pool!

Hi..I am new to here also but. Not to all star cheerleading...I thought the same thing when we first started that this would be something fun for her..well, it is very fun but also it's a whole new ball game....my daughter started on level 2 four years ago she is now on a level 4 co-ed senior team and loves it...she is 13 years old and we never have one regret of getting her started on this path..hope you enjoy it...

I can relate to the shock factor! I own a cheerleading voiceover company and mix some music, but I can still remember the first time I went to an all star competition to see my work in action. It was Worlds 2011 and I'm not sure how I pulled my jaw off the floor lol. Certainly a Harry Potter-esque industry in the sense that if you're in it, you know about it... if you're not you may never know it exists lol
