I have clinic on Weds & Thurs and tryouts Friday. Any tips besides the obvious be loud, and sharp that might help me make it?

Remember that you're there to have fun, coaches want someone who loves what they're doing.
Take direction without any complaints & try to get along with the other girls, the last thing any coach wants is more drama.
Dont be late, it makes such a horrible impression, like you dont want to be there.
If they require you to wear something, wear it. They know you actually care. If not, you should still wear your high school's colors.
Have everything ready, forms ect.
Wear your hair up, it looks more perfessional.
Dont be afraid, because it's like the rest of the girls can smell it on you. (;

Anyways have a good time and goodluck!(:

-Be on time.
-Make sure you grades are good. Most schools require you to have decent grades to do a sport.
-Don't psych yourself out. This is what messed me up. I overwhelmed myself and broke down. Breathe, relax and just chill out.
-Listen. listen. listen. Pay attention!
-Clean nails, hair up, and good practice clothes. Something comfortable and appropriate. No jewelry!
-No gossiping. Don't size up the others girls/boys and trash talk with friends. Trust me, there are people all around who have ears.
-Ask for help when you need it. It's better to suck it up and ask for help then mess up on a skill or routine.
-Take criticism. Don't get offended, just learn from that mistake and work on it.
-Work on the routine and your skills with a friend, help each other out!
-And remember, if you don't make the team, its not the end of the world. I didn't make the team twice, and it was really hard. But just work on your skill even harder until the next tryout and domintate!

GOOD LUCK!!

Everything said above!

And ask questions! Stay after or come early if you have an questions. Coaches like to see the extra effort put in.

Good luck!
