I'm about 12 inch from going all the way down and for the last 2 month I don't seem to be making any progress.

ok I used a ruler and about 7 inch from the ground12"?! Child I'm that far way from my splits and I can't do any splits at all! Are you sure about that measurement? I hope that was a typo and you meant 2 inches.

ok I will try , for "switch to your other leg" are you thinking of "Front splits" I'm trying to do the "Side splits are executed by extending the legs to the left and right of the torso"Unfortunately, you have to push and make it hurt! Hold the stretch for about 30 seconds, then switch to your other leg. It sounds odd, but if you don't stretch both sides of your body, it could really mess up your hips and back. Also, make sure your body is warm. Stretching cold is bad for your muscles. If you really want to be pushed, have a teammate hold your hands over your head to balance you, and do your splits without putting your hands on the ground. Focus on breathing and relaxing. Feel the buuuuuurn! Stretching every day for only about 10 minutes a day will produce more results than you expect. :)
