There is no magic trick to obtain a skill unfortunately. Everyone learns differently & at their own pace.
Therefore realistically, the best thing that we can tell you to do aside from consistently attending tumbling classes, is to condition.

-Strengthen your body at home (Conditioning - For the "Love" of Tumbling
-Ensure that your skills leading up to the BHS are solid (Drills - For the "Love" of Tumbling
-Have confidence mentally
-Keep on consistently attending tumbling classes

It will happen in due time, so don't stress. Just keep working.

The only other thing to mention would be perhaps trying out an additional class or private with a few different coaches, as each will have their own way of teaching. Maybe a certain drill or teaching method will make it "click" for you. You never know!

This is really true. My daughter has been cheering for 5 years and her program includes tumbling for the beginning half of the season. In 5 years her tumbling skills hasnt progressed. I put her in a tumbling program at another gym in just 2 weeks/1hr per week, she can now do her backhand spring! I keep asking what made the difference??? First off, the tumbling gym has more equipment, tumble track, cheese mat, etc. Her cheer gym is smaller and not a lot of equipment.

Most importantly....don't give up! My CP took about 2 years to get her BHS. She always attended tumbling class and even took privates. We were all just patient. At first she would only through it if coach was right there and then she just continued to get confident. And now she is perfecting her layout and starting fulls.
