Do you like the way it's handled? If not, how would you like it to be done?

can you elaborate more? do you mean tumbling in general, tumbling classes, etc?

pittsburgh poison is comin through your area, causin mass hysteria!

At our gym you are placed by the tumbling you have at tryouts not by potential. If you choose to you can pay to take extra tumbling classes on top of cheer. That would be to improve skills for next seasons' try outs.

In the summer the tumbling is a separate class that is included in the tuition. Once August rolls around and they start two practices a week then you would have to pay for an additional tumble class.

Our tuition for all star teams includes unlimited tumbling classes as well as any other classes being offered. We have beginner, intermediate, and advanced tumbling classes three nights a week.

Our monthly tuition includes the 2 weekly team practices and one 1 hour tumbling class a week. There are 3 levels of tumbling classes but some of the classes are a mix of 2 levels.

We pay for tumbling classes but full year all-stars pay half the price of the classes. They are arranged by level but most people wind up going to the class that better fits their schedule and the coaches accomodate whatever skill each athlete is working on.

Team tumbling once a week is included but they only work team level tumbling. Anything else requires extra tuition.

One of our weekly practices is 3 hours long and tumbling is supposed to be worked into that. We really only work on skills for our level. After mid summer, we require that the kids take an additional tumbling class if they aren't meeting our minimum requirements for their teams/level (bwo for level 1, bhs for level 2, etc). They can take the classes somewhere else for a session or two, but if we don't see any progress, they have to take their classes at our gym (we've had parents claim to have their kid in a tumbling class elsewhere, but later found out that wasn't the case).

My daughter's gym has hour-long tumbling classes by level on Saturdays. Two are included in monthly tuition and additional classes are $10 each. They work on team level tumbling during team practices. I love the way it is done.

At my gym Open teams are encouraged to take tumbling but it isn't mandatory, however Level 5/6 both tumble during practice. Open 4 doesn't (?), but I believe that's more of an exception since all the other teams do. Youth - Senior have tumbling during practice along with a required tumbling class that is not included in tuition. There is also the option of privates / multis or going to open gym where the coaches are always willing to spot.

Same. But it would be awesome if new skills were taught during practice with no extra fee! Not gonna happen.

Open Tumbling is included in our annual fees, otherwise we pay extra for group tumbling, or semi & private coaching,. Many go to one of the gymnastics clubs in the city that offer tumbling class's and semi & private coaching.
