Argh!!! My WiFi spaced out and kept staling as I was trying to post once. Evidently it became possessed and kept posting when it reloaded. :stupid:

Allstar tumbling is included in our tuition. Tumbling classes are offered 5 times a week for 1.5 hours each and are separate from practices. It's suggested that athletes try to go at least three times per month, but it's not required. If an athlete is not meeting level expectations they will be assigned mandatory tumbling once a week. During tumbling, each athlete does several reps of the jumps, standing and long tumbling they have in the routine and, as long as they're doing well, they're allowed to work on progressing skills.

Our team athletes have unlimited tumbling classes included in their tuition. There are 3 to 4 of each level class a week. They have the option of attending all classes or no classes at all.

As a coach, I love this set up because my parents can't complain if we don't tumble at practice during competition season. My response is "you have a choice of 4 tumbling classes to attend if you feel that Suzy needs to tumble more often." I don't often have time to work skills outside of what's in the routine, so it's good that they're getting it elsewhere. It's pretty obvious which of my kids go and which don't though. I have 6/11 BWO and 5 of those kids go to tumbling every single week.

When I cheered we had team practice 3x a week and we would finish up the last 30 minutes of each practice with tumbling. This was not to work on any new skills it was simply to condition our bodies to be able to hit the skills in our routine when we were exhausted at the end of practice. Our gym then offered regular tumbling classes every night off the week. In our tuition package we could go to one tumbling class a week outside of practice and then if you wanted to go to more it would be an additional $10.

I personally do not like tumbling, especially anything new, at the end of practice when the athletes are beat. It just ups the risk for injury.

Thank you to everyone who has responded. We are a new program and are part of a gymnastics gym. Because we started at the beginning of the year knowing we werent competing until next season, we were working tumbling into our practices. Now we have to put on a show for parents in less than two months per the owners, and so now we are trying to make a short routine, there hasn't been time. Kids aren't happy but we do have two cheer tumbling classes offered during the week they can take if they want to work tumbling. Most of our senior girls go and most our younger ones are in other gymnastics classes as well.

For those with unlimited tumbling or that include tumbling classes in their tuition, may I ask how much your tuition is monthly? What level and how many hours of practice?
Under $100
$100-150
$151-200
$200+

We are trying to work out fair tuitions as this area isn't familiar with all star and the price tag that goes with it.

Both my daughters are level 4, tuition is $120/mo each athlete -20% sibling discount. That includes 5 hours of team practice plus 1 hour tumbling class per week. Hope that helps. :)

Tuition is $180 for levels 2-4 with unlimited tumbling, flexibility, and conditioning classes. They practice 5-6 hours a week.
Tuition is $135 (I think, rough estimate) for our mini level 1 team and they also get unlimited classes and practice 4 hours a week.

For just tumbling, it is $40 a month for once a week and $60 for unlimited (three times a week) and unlimited tumbling includes our extra classes as well.

I have to admit I am very jealous of the unlimited tumbling! You guys are very lucky!

All star doesn't necessarily need to be expensive to start with. I have a friend whose program is dirt cheap monthly tuition basically covers cost of gym rental and tumbling instruction. Parents buy the uniforms and pay competition fees. Keeping low to start, if you can, might be school way to garner some interest.

Can I just direct deposit my pay checks to the gym?
