All-Star How Many Athletes Do You Need To Cheer On A "small" Squad?

My daughter was cheering for a team that was supposed to compete this weekend. One of the girls was injured and couldn't travel with us. Because we only had 11 girls, our coach told us that we could not compete at "Junior Level One". Is this true?

you have to have 5 people to be able to compete.

One girl is a large component of a team, especially when that team is small to begin with. There may not have been enough time to rework the routine for this competition. No point in competing when you're marking stunts and a pyro at that percentage.
