I paid $299/night last year for Hyatt Regency NCA last year. Did it really go up $100??

For $499 I expect a penthouse suite with a spa, a king size bed, free wifi/breakfast/parking and a butler. The Hyatt Regency in Dallas for NCA is $399 a night this year (3 night minimum). It was $329 last year. Omni is $499 with a 4 night minimum. We're not staying at either place.

The stay to play "spin". Sorry, it's not a better deal for families no matter how they try to color it. At least not the way it is being handled for cheer comps.
Fun fact- 2 years ago in Dallas a couple of families checking out of the Omni and were handed the list of charges. Apologies were forthcoming when they explained they had pre paid. What was quite telling was the 100$ less per night room cost listed on bill vs what they had paid through STP.
We did much better when allowed to negotiate room blocks for our own teams (and even got free coaches rooms thrown in) The cheer version of STP as a "money saver" "better rates" "convenience" is a sham!
Also, gyms (disclaimer - not all) have figured out that uniforms, practice clothes, bows, tshirts, etc. are a great way to pad their profit. Sure some of that upcharge you're paying is being used to cover the costs of the items for kids who pay nothing (scholarships) but trust me, there's a reason for the increase in new uniforms, practice wear packages, backpacks etc. There's a good profit margin there and yes, crazy cheer parents are willing to fork it over without batting an eye. Ask to see an invoice sometime ;)
Monthly fee (including tumble classes, they offer three a week) $345 x 12= 4140
Practice wear $325
Practice bows (optional) $100
Uniform $400
Team jacket $200
CP did private flyer tryout that was $175 but the normal price for this is 75.
Misc (comp bow, usasf fee, gym registration) $90
I believe we will have three travel comps (2 drivable, 1 flight) not including summit.
Total without travel:
$5430
I'm pretty sure I know which gym she's at. The $345 includes practices, unlimited all star tumbling classes, competition registration fees, music and choreographyWhat does your monthly fee include? Practices and tumbling?
When I sit down and tabulate my daughter's 3rd season attending all those prestigious competitions.
I have to disagree with your statement....I get back to this discussion because I am checking my financial records from 2013-2014 and I will compare the difference in cost without STP to my family ....BRB
I am so sorry, but the more I delved into my cheer finances I just cannot go on any longer,,,,just truly depress! No I'm just curious. We had someone show that their prices increased about 5k over 4 years mostly because of STP. I'm just trying to gauge where others are at.
