All-Star Ideas To Motivate For Competition

my team has a big competition coming up this weekend, they are all very nervous but worked so hard for it!
as their coach I wanna do something little but fun for them, to show them I care and motivate them to keep going.

things ive done in the past:
-make them all a personal poem written on a paper and gave it to them on their way to the competition, some last minute words of motivation
-little bags with candy in the teamcolors
-each their own special award
-a team they look up to, sent them pictures and a little card and teamshirts


anyone has some good new fresh ideas?

once we put every ones name in a hat and picked names and kept it a secrete of who we had then the last practice before the comp you dress up as that team mate .. it was really fun

We've had a team bead given to us the week before competition that everyone put on their right shoelace as good luck. It went along with a motivational poem about being "one heart beat, one team, one family" (the bead was a heart shaped 'pony' type bead".

Our coaches did something like that but for a totally different reason. Before one competition they put everyone's name in a hat and pulled one out before they did their full out. The catch was, no one knew who they picked and they were going to watch that one person. Whatever they missed in the full out the entire team would have to do in the mistakes routine. Since no one knew who they picked everyone tried to make sure they (individually) hit a perfect routine.

...and they did.

You should have them write letters to their stunt group or one other person on the team! Always thoughtful and doesn't cost a thing!
