Another question...if the EP split the divisions up (mini 1A, mini 1B, etc.) do they take the winner of each group, or high score from the combined mini 1. What if they weren't the same judging panels?

Something else I think wasn't thought through. I would assume they're taking the top score but I'll bet those are rarely the same judging panels.Another question...if the EP split the divisions up (mini 1A, mini 1B, etc.) do they take the winner of each group, or high score from the combined mini 1. They should've gone, that J3 was the real deal. They would've won it all. I said that back at the sweetheart classic.mannn, sad for my gym. (Carolina Spirit Athletics.) we are not attending this year. Our youth 2 won the online championship last season and the season before (but they were considered small gym that year.)(I wasn't with the gym then.). Now all that talent has gone up to our 2 year underfeated J3 team. wahhhh
@alexamarysouza I saw their Carolina Spirit J3 at Battle Under The Big Top and I instantly became a fan! I will love to see them go J4 next season. They should've gone, that J3 was the real deal. They would've won it all. I said that back at the sweetheart classic.
I know!! Junior Dazzle was outstanding. just the level of talent on the team, unbelievable! They should've gone, that J3 was the real deal. They would've won it all. I said that back at the sweetheart classic.
aww! we all want them to go j4!@alexamarysouza I saw their Carolina Spirit J3 at Battle Under The Big Top and I instantly became a fan! I will love to see them go J4 next season.
I was thinking about that too. In the Virtual Championship are they going to change it into to Large-Small for Large & Small Gyms?? I'm supposed to be competing at Atlanta, and my gym's teams aren't even on there yet. They combined the large and small teams, so if they keep it that way my team of 32 people is going against a team of 10 people and another team of 14 people.. That's not that fair to the smaller teams.
As I understand it, it's a ratio based scoresheet...like cheersport...so in theory yes. I think where you get into issues is in that bottom 10% of the scoresheet where you get overall effect and choreography which is totally subjective. If you with your small team absolutely kill your routine and only have 20 and go up against a team of 32 that absolutely kills their routine, large teams with more stunt groups that fill the floor better and can put up more "wow factor" pyros just because they have more people might pull ahead in that 10% which may be the same 10% that makes the difference. My daughters team crushed every large team they saw this year too, but the large teams had deduction issues that we didn't. I think the issue is when both teams kill it large ones have the advantage in stage presence. That's just my thought. If it were completely fair regardless of team members they wouldn't have split divisions to begin with.im on a small coed team and we have been competing against large coed all year and still won, so exacuting, and hitting a high scoring routine is the same regardless if your small or large right? I mean wouldnt maxing out across the score sheet still be the same criteria? ( maybe Im wrong) but we never had a loss against a large, I didnt that the numbers made the difference. I could be wrong, but I am excited to see how we do in the Virtual Championship. Our gym has alot competing on it :)
