All-Star Is This Legal?

It's illegal because of General Rule #5 "Athletes must always practice and perform on an appropriate surface. Technical skills (stunts, pyramids, tosses or tumbling) may not be performed on concrete, asphalt, wet or uneven surfaces or surfaces with obstructions."

I was just about to say this! I thought I had seen a rule in the USASF rules that said everything must be done on an appropriate surface. I remember it stuck out to me because I thought of parades immediately - every gym I've seen stunts and tumbles in parades like they are on a mat.

So since you stole my post ;) I'll ask this: really, is there anything the USASF can actually DO about that though? I mean, are you going to start hitting the parade circuit? And even if USASF is aware, what can be done to enforce such a rule?

If the team was turned in the USASF could ban them from Worlds or revoke the coaches' credentials.

If someone was hurt the injured family would probably have a better case for negligence since the generally accepted rules were being violated.

I did read that rule as well but wasn't sure if it applied outside of competition. I don't want to get a gym in trouble but would love for them to be told officially that what they did was wrong so that no one gets hurt in the future.
