the industry standard for mixing cheer music is Sony Acid Pro. almost any version will do. there are producers still making GREAT music in Acid Pro 4.0 !

versions 6.0 & 7.0 allow for multi-track recording directly into your project for VO's and such which can be a benefit if do your own recording. most people are starting to use one of these newer versions for that and other reasons.

various levels of music can produced with various different levels of software. how intricate your software is, will limit how intricate your mixing can be. we recommend learning everything from beginner to the most advanced on the same software. this way you only need to become familiar and efficient with one set of skills and your mixing can progress naturally and smoothly, without having to re-learn new things on different platforms.

You can do everything you need to do in Sony Acid Pro 7.0 from start to finish. Why are you trying to steer clear of the CMS TOOLZ? The biggest cheer music producers in the industry are using them more & more & they set the trends followed by everyone else in the industty.
