Hey Y'all,

I have been cooking up this idea for a while. I would like to do a once a month webinar with guest coaches/industry leaders/whoever might be of interest to cover a topic with question an answer for an hour-ish each month. I would moderate, but all attendees could ask their questions and get answers based on what the topic is. There would be a small fee (the current idea is 4.99 per webinar but I will take suggestions on price. It cannot be free because there is cost in doing this). Some ideas are for coaches and some ideas are for athletes. Some of the topics are:

-How to apply, tryout, and cheer in college
-How to improve your tumbling (as an athlete)
-How to teach better tumbling (as a coach / program director)
-How to run/schedule a practice
-How to work with music producers to get the best result
-How to practice stunting at home and get better
-How to be a choreographer

The list of ideas are pretty limitless with cheerleading. What are your thoughts?

For parents: how to be the best parent to your allstar kid. talk about how to talk to coaches, team mom, expectations, that kinds thing.

I think it'd be great. There are TONS of topics, the options for panel members are endless, and it'd be a great resource for new parents!

And coaches and athletes. I have 3 speakers at the moment and I think getting more shouldn't be an issue.

as someone about to graduate college in a year and looking to get re-connected to the allstar world, I think this idea is absolutely fabulous.

You could do a seminar on how to be a coach, along the lines of parent communication, child development, communication to staff, how to implement an emergency/injury action plan - the professional side of things. I see a ton of coaches that completely lack in that aspect.

Ever think about something like a #cheerchat on twitter? Some of the PLNs I follow (school not cheer related, are there PLNs for cheer!?!?) have scheduled chats on different topics that are moderated. Pretty common professional development practice.

Like chyeeaaa69 said-- judging seminars could be great. I'd pay more than just $5 for that for sure. You could have well-versed veteran judges from the big brands (jam, varsity, others?) give real breakdowns and expectations for what is needed. I know a few do that already, but I don't think we get enough of it.

Speaker gets a cut?

Speakers get to answer to an audience and have all their contact information available. I am sure if they give a strong presentation they will get someone to contact them afterwards for a camp or clinic (I know I have). So an hour and a half for a couple extra clinics during the summer is a very high return.
