Hitting your routine does not guarantee a win, why don't people understand this? Technique, execution, creativity, among other categories also play into score...using the fact that you hit your routine as the reason that you should have won a competition makes absolutely zero sense and makes it look like you know nothing about how scoring/judging/Allstar cheer in general work. Say the results are unfair all you want if you truly believe it, but please refrain from using this as your reason why.

This, this, and this! Thank you for expressing my feelings in a non-rude way because I couldn't figure out a good way to say it. I'm dumbfounded as to why people still think SE/CA/SSX and whoever else should have won, "because they hit" is not a valid reason.

What would be the benefit in going back to Dallas? Senior elite has hit four perfect routines in a row there and still lost to a team with mistakes 3 of their 4 routines. Why should they keep going back, the message from NCA is pretty clear.

Hitting doesn't guarantee a win. Just ask Cheetahs, Super Seniors, Weathergirls(who hit both days I might add), or any others that hit and didn't win. If a team has more difficulty and better execution, they can afford a deduction. In some cases a teams day 1 score gave enough of a cushion for a couple of deductions( TGLC and Generals for example).

Also their day 1 routine did have a deduction that was clearly laid out in the rule book about routine time. It's silly and not professional to throw digs towards other teams. Especially when you're not only a coach, but the gym owner too.

I can understand CSP's frustration. I've mentioned this before, but during the Twinkies documentary I was shocked they won when both of their days were disastrous. Yes, they had the difficulty but it was a falling, sloppy mess yet difficulty won. I'd love to see AS Cheer move to a point where hitting does equal winning. And I feel this way across all levels across all teams. I'm not in charge, nor do I ever aspire to be, so it won't happen but just my own pipe dream.

I do think, for those who truly believe NCA is rigged or not judged fairly, just need to stop going. Varsity speaks in dollar signs...pull out and maybe something gets accomplished?

That is assuming raw score is set correctly in the first place. And deductions are applied fairly a bobble or a fall is the same for all teams. There needs to be better clarity on these factors or it is just mathematical manipulation.

That's one of the reasons I do not like 25/75 scoring on 2 day comps. If you go out and don't hit day 1 it's not a big penalty. Yes and most people don't get you can have a great raw score have a half point deduction day 1 come back day 2 nail it and leap frog 3 or 4 teams. It's simple math. I really prefer 50/50 comps.

FWIW, even if NCA was 50/50 it still would have gone Panther's SE.

not trying to start anything, but this isn't just NCA.. are we forgetting when SE dropped a stunt at worlds 2010 day 2 but still walked away with rings??

I think that's the point, so were the teams that won this weekend. They had enough room to make mistakes in both situations.

While on one hand I get the whole 'hitting deduction free shouldn't mean you win' (because certain teams have MUCH higher difficulty/execution so even a lower scored team could hit well and still be behind). On the other hand, I saw some things that should have CLEARLY been deductions not get taken off. OOBs, bobbles, etc.

I get the frustration when it feels like you're doing everything you can, adapting to the scoresheet and adding in what they're asking for, HIT THAT and STILL not win.

Whichever message it is that is being sent. There's no point.

I get the frustration. But for owners and coaches to put on social media they won't be returning is unnecessary and doesn't make them look good. Handle it in a professional manner. If you don't like a comp then just don't go back or contact the ep and let them know of your concerns. But to put it on social media makes you look like a sore loser.
And this is not directed to anyone in particular. Just making a general statement.

I saw videos of both SE and Panthers from day 2, and my, I'm not a judge, opinion is that the Panther routine is much cleaner. Panthers timing and technique w/ their synchronized standing tumbling is excellent - SE's looks a lot sloppier. Also, stunts, Panthers timing/synchronization is so spot on, SE is not in synch. Panthers running tumbling so much stronger and higher too IMO. I'd have scored Panthers higher and really didn't notice any significant bobbles.

I also watched TG day 2 - and neiter of those fallen stunts went all the way to the ground and they recovered well. I agree it should have been close between them and Cheetahs, but TG's technique, timing and choreography is just so good I don't think it should be a shocker that they won. Now if both those stunts hit the ground, yeah, they prob would have been 2nd.
