Poor girl was probably freaking out that it would be a deduction or distraction if she let it go on the floor. Better hold it and hope no one notices! You know they guy that threw her up was like wtf when she grabbed his wrist with a shoe.

my best guess (don't quote me on this) is that "rumor" that used to go around that shoes and bows falling off were a deduction.. I remember seeing a picture of another athlete at worlds with a shoe in their uniform because they didn't want the judges to see it and get a deduction.. hahah true team players right there

I wonder if they were deducted for it anyway... because on the final scoresheet they received a 1.25 deduction... 0.25 for an AF, where did the other whole point deduction come from then?
