All-Star Need A Gym Owner Friend!!!

I have so many times when I have an accomplishment or an issue or a road block with owning my gym, and I have NO one to talk to about it! I would love to meet and connect with other gym owners, from anywhere, to be able to have someone to go to. Owning a gym is one the most rewarding and challenging things I've ever done, and now entering competition season for our third year open, and going from 20 kids year one to 80 kids this year, many obstacles have come along this path. There is constantly one thing or another I have to deal with, which is fine, it can just get really lonely. When I go to comp and see gym owners socializing and having fun together, I'm envious. I would love to network and have that connection. Anyone, California or not, that owns a gym that would like to help a small gym out with advice and occasional chit chat please let me know! It would be great to have a source of knowledge to go with issues as well as triumphs!! :)

Have you joined the ASGA group in Facebook. There's an open one and one that's just for gym owners. I think they do some networking through there.

You can contact me too any time. I used to be a gymowner but i quit and joined another gym, where im still a boardmember and in charge for the whole cheerprogram.
i know how hard IT can be and eventhough it consumes alot of your time, it's also a lonely spot.

I would also recommend joining the coaches page on here. A lot of the people who post regularly are gym owners and there's a lot you can learn, vent and celebrate there.

Yes! Some of them are very intimidating and less than welcoming. It would just be nice to have someone to conference with when I need advice, to rant, Praise the gym or just chat! Please send me your email. I'd love to be in touch :)

Where abouts are you at now? What made you not want to gym own anymore? If you don't mind me asking... It's definitely the most time consuming thing ever but I find myself feeling very very isolated. I have no one who understands the struggles as a gym owner. Even my business owning friends.
