Guys. I got to change my status thing from "Retired" to "Coach!" I'm so excited!!!

Sooo I still have yet to upgrade my phone because I can't even afford a Galaxy S4 or iPhone 5S on any outside website. Anyone here know anything about an alternate upgrade through a basic phone? I'm pretty sure it can be done, but Verizon always tells me that it can't because they are really pushing hard to get people off unlimited and onto that terrible share everything plan. Heck, they even told me that if a basic phone needed an upgrade on our plan and I transferred them my upgrade, that it would make ME change MY phone's data plan when I bought a new phone on a different line even though it wouldn't even be ordered through MY phone line, and I know that isn't the case, lol.

If you upgrade your phone at all they'll make you change the plan. I hard. To go through the same. -.-

OK you really had me thinking I had been doing this wrong for about 30 years. This was making me crazy so I looked it up. According to Grammarly, that Purdue OWL thing (my Bible when it comes to grammar for writing for school), and Chicago Style Guide, it's twelve-year-old.

Hyphenate if it's an adjective before a noun (as in "a twelve-year-old boy") and not if it's after ("the boy is twelve years old"). And hyphenate if it's a noun ("a twelve-year-old was annoying me"). A few sources also say you shouldn't spell out the word "twelve" and should use the number itself ("12-year-old), but I doubt your teacher was looking for that.

(***I write a TON for school right now, so I have these sites saved for constant resource. They've been a life saver for me for writing paper upon paper at midnight.)

Baaaaahahaha I'm the worst - I grammar nazi to death every paper I write for school. I spend more time second guessing myself than actually writing the paper. That Purdue OWL thing is the greatest.

I really want a tablet for christmas but my mom is convinced enough to spend the money on an ipad. Are there any tablets that you can use a keyboard with that isnt too expensive?

My kids have the Motorola Xoom and it has accessories including a keyboard. You can get them for under $250 so if you are not set on an ipad it is a cheaper alternative.

iPad mini maybe? They should be less expensive and I like them better-iPads are just too big and hard to carry for me. I have one from school and I use it alllllll the time for everything. They don't really seem that much smaller than normal iPads either - obviously they are but it's not super noticeable. According to the school it's $320 to replace if I lose mine but idk if that's how much it costs normally

Yep! Here are a couple options 5 best iPad mini keyboards | ZDNet
The best part is they're about the size of a books o they're comfortable to carry and stack well with school stuff and binders and such
They might have to pry it from my hands at the end of the year

Thanks! Im hoping to convince her. I like to type all of my notes but I hate carrying my laptop with me since its so big and I get distracted super easily.

I have a samsung Tab3 - but i'm not sure if there is a keyboard to use with. I bought it with an ipad mini for my son, and i like the ipad mini better. It is faster, bigger display, better camera.

The Samsung was around 250 Euros, the Ipad was 320 Euros if bought seperat, but i got a really good price buying both.

I recommend the ipad mini - i'm more open to buy my kids things if they pay a part of the price by themselves (what he did), so eventually you can make an agreement with your mom, too?

Omg yes!! I was having an awful day yesterday, and while I was doing homework (and watching TV :oops:) I saw that. It definitely made my day. :) They're all so funny!!
