I have a hair color question for anyone that knows about that kind of thing!!
In February I got some super blonde & medium brown highlights. I have super dark brown hair that's not quite black.
But being in college away from home, I can't get into my hair dresser for like a month and shes way expensive. I really want to pick up some dark brown hair color from Sally's and get rid of my highlights but I'm afraid it will damage my hair. I had virgin hair before my highlights. Just curious if I'll be alright to color it myself or if I should just wait and spend the money to do it professionally. :)

Just make sure the brown you pick has a red base (it'll either say it on the bottle or the store person might be able to tell you). The base isn't really something you'll see so much as something that will tell you the undertone and how it will react with your already colored hair. Red cannot make any weird colors other than orange, and dark brown just plain isn't going to make orange - that's only a concern if you're going lighter. But if your stylist used a blue based blond, and you use a yellow or ash based brown, you'll get green tones. Same with the opposite - if she used yellow or ash blond and you use an ash or blue based brown, you'll get green.

If you can't tell what the base is, choose a brown with words like mahogany, burnt, etc. It may turn out more Auburn than you'd like, but that is way better than green.

I've been coloring my own hair for over 20 years, and once upon a time I was a licensed hairdresser. If I go to Sally, I use wella colors if I'm sure I'll like it and want it to last, and L'Oréal colors if I'm trying something new that I'm not sure about (they fade quicker).

I always use 40 volume developer, but I'm old and don't care... You should use either 20 or 30. The creme is less messy, so get that if you can.

As was already said, the damage will be no different. It's all damaging. Just get some good conditioner and keep it moving.

This probably scared you more, but really it's easy. My sister has been paying an arm and a leg to get her hair colored for years. I showed her how to do it herself and she's never looked back. :)

Thank you! That was super helpful :) I'll keep that in mind!!

Everyone should watch the show Chrisley Knows Best on the channel USA! It's a reality show (and I'm not much of a reality show fan) but it's hilarious. Originally when I watched it, I thought it was a comedy show not a reality show.]

I caught re-runs of this show today! I was cracking up! I will definitely be watching this now!

I guess what I'm getting at is why on earth is this level five child on a level two team?! (Granted I did my research a little and to my knowledge she's level five this year) but stillllll

For TV, that's all. Youth Silver was created for TV only and was not a regular team at the gym. It had kids with a wide range of skills as evidenced by Cassidy (?) being placed on a L2 team.

Can I just direct deposit my pay checks to the gym?
Youth Level 2 allowed the owners to have both of their daughters on the made-for-reality-TV team. Many of the kids on that team had solid level 3+ tumbling as evidenced by what they were throwing during tumbling sessions in the gym.

I was in a pub in London last night after training in a SoT t shirt and a woman walked up to me and said it was her first day in London from Germany and she was so happy she'd bumped into another cheerleader because it was like a piece of home :) it was so nice of her to come up and say hello! I didn't catch exactly what team she was on (noisy pub!) But it sounded a bit like Winston/Windsor? Haha, she said their juniors are going to Paris to compete this season so if anyone on the boards is on her team (if anyone can figure out what I'm talking about!) Then good luck!

Y'all I'm so excited!! I get to go home for the first time this semester. :) I don't care if it makes me sound like a baby, I missed my family (and dogs haha) so much. It was just really strange to not go home since I live pretty close to campus. I have so much respect for people from out of state that can't go home at all!! I don't know how they do it.

I apologize if I offend anyone with this post/rant.

Today I made a girl I know upset/angry because a bunch of people were telling her they would pray for her grandmother who was ill and I did not. I did say that my thoughts were with her though.
I am in no way religious, I never have been. That is not saying I don't believe in things, I just don't practice a religion. In my opinion I would find it quite offensive to say I would pray to a God, when I wont - as I do not have a God.

Now removing myself from the situation, I really hope I haven't hurt her feelings. It's not like I was saying I hope her gran doesn't get better but I just felt like I couldn't tell her I was going to pray. I understand her emotions were high.
For future reference, should I have told her I would, even though I wouldn't? To make her feel better in a hard time? Or did I do the right thing?

Well did you come out and tell her "I'm not praying because I don't believe in God" or did you just say thoughts are with you and she got mad that you didn't say you'd pray? Because if you just came out and started saying that you don't believe it could come across as rude. I don't see why she'd get mad if you just left that out though?

I often feel the same way as you as I, though growing up in a religious household, also don't have a God. I usually say my thoughts are with the person. No one has gotten mad at me for it, however. As @12mowerd asked, did you come right out and say you don't believe or did you just say your thoughts are with her/her family and she got mad? Does she know that you aren't religious? I know some people from where I'm from would get mad if you impeded on their religion by saying you don't have one but that's beside the point..

@12mowerd @TinyBlondie15

The conversation was kind of like :
Her - "my grandmother is ill"
Friend 1 - "o gosh, i'll pray for you"
Friend 2 - "me too"
Me - "my thoughts are with you and your family"
Her - "are you not going to pray too?"
Me - "No, I can't. But I'm thinking of you"

You guys are right, I think I needed to make it clearer that its because I don't have a God not because I didn't want to pray for her. She knows that I am not religious but maybe with the high emotions she forgot/didn't think it through. I just assumed she would know that was the reason.
It wasn't until after that I realised it might have come across as insensitive so I didn't think to explain.
