OT New New Random Thread...

I think those "cold water challenges" on Facebook are so stupid. Like lets all jump in cold water and get hypothermia because my Facebook friend told me I have to. So annoying. Also the drinking challenges...like really people? A video of you drinking some ridiculous amount on Facebook because someone "nominated" you. SO SO STUPID UGHHHH. Not to mention future employers are going to see that! Also most of the people doing the stupid drinking challenge are underage and posting a video of it...like how stupid can you be?!?!?!?

Both years I went to prom I wore pink dresses. I always did my own makeup (I didn't know people actually got it done professionally???) but I always got my hair done.

My sophomore year I went to prom a junior and senior had the same dress as me and I felt so bad because it was "their" prom and not mine lol. If I were them I would have hated spending that much money on a dress just for two other girls to have it at my senior prom lol

Former-cp is having hair and makeup done for her junior banquet in two weeks. The salon where she always goes has a "prom package" and it was actually relatively reasonable.

I don't think anyone I know has gotten their makeup done, but they definitely get hair done! I was thinking I need someone to do my makeup bc I suck at makeup, now knowing other people do it too makes me feel less weird :D
(Ps I'm kind of jealous of all of you who get multiple proms.)

One of my cheerleading coaches worked for Sephora so she did our make up! When I went to the Marine Corps Ball and a Super Senior Prom, I did my own though. I think cheerleading taught me how to do make up though so I was never worried about doing my own.

For Prom this year, I had my older sister's best friend do my hair and makeup. She's not a cosmetologist but she does really good hair and makeup. She should be a cosmetologist though. She had a really reasonable deal for it too.

Seriously, I lost respect for a handful of people after watching the NekNominations. I don't have as much of a problem with the Polar Plunge (no alcohol involved), but it's still stupid.

Same here! I love makeup so it would have been cool to get it professionally done.

I went to prom my freshman and sophomore year because I was dating an upperclassman. I didn't go my junior or senior year, which were actually my proms lol.

The only way freshman and sophomores can go to prom is if they are asked by a junior or senior. My school was super lenient with it though, like people could bring their BFF as long as they were an upperclassman.

Does everyone's high school have prom for juniors and seniors? My high schools was (and still is) junior prom. Only juniors are allowed to attend. If you are not a junior you can only go if you are asked by a junior.

Really? Do seniors have a special dance then?

Ours was juniors and seniors. Underclassmen can only go if they have a date. The other high school in the district allows sophomores to go to prom too.
