Danke is thanks and dankeschön is thank you. And I give you a huge "dankeschön" for voting.

I didn't click on "abstimmen", does that mean my vote won't be counted (I really should have taken German at school!)?

I don't think so - if you click on the link above and all of the hearts are red your vote wasn't counted, if they are grey your vote was counted.
And I always think I should have taken all of the other languages that I could have learned.

Does anyone know why "attempts to do the job of a twelve year old boy" is questionable writing between the twelve year and then between year old? My professor circled that for questionable writing but with no explanation.

I think it should be hyphenated. Twelve-year-old boy
