I think my boyfriend secretly enjoys hearing about cheer stuff. He'll watch lower level teams on youtube with me to get ideas and I taught him how to spot backhandsprings (on my sister) and base one-mans. He's even been keeping up with the worlds teams with me this year (although we disagreed where IOC5 was concerned; he's absolutely sure 005 will win, but I'd kind of like to see the CA Wildcats take 1st). He can tell you what a bobble is, and the difference between a tuck and a layout. I guess its funny because he would have never known competitive cheer existed before he knew me! :D
Me and my boyfriend teach each other tumbling, he teaches me how to be fearless and just throw my self, and I teach him technique so he doesn't kill him self, we started working one mans last summer, can't extend it yet but we did a three high one at double base with another friend. He'll only watch the higher level teams and the dance teams at comps though.

That's so cool! I wish mine weren't hopelessly uncoordinated and we could tumble together. I think its every cheerleader's dream to have a "cheer relationship" (having their boyfriend on their team).

Senior year of high school he said he'd at least tryout with me, but I didn't end up cheering that year anyway. We were just a rugby couple that year aha

Book talk makes me gag.

The next thing I'm going to read is In Touch Weekly when I get to work at noon.....at the library.

Then I'm going to watch basketball games allll day at work because I am 100% certain that I am going to win the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket challenge.

In a few short weeks I will be tossing up the deuces to librarian life for ever.

Working in a public library does this to you. Being a librarian at a public library does this to you.

Wait... What???? No more library life for you? What are you going to be doing? :(

People always tell me I should get a job working with books because I love them so much, but that's why I DON'T get a job with them. Books are my escape. Sometimes I like a deep, thought provoking read... And sometimes I like to read trash by the pool. (or on the train to work) I love a good story, even if it's not a literary masterpiece. I'd hate to work somewhere that ruined that.

I'm going to have half a billion dollars so I suppose I'll do what people with half a billion dollars do..... Shop. Not work. And get a reality show on E!

I still like to read. I just never have time to read. Despite popular belief I don't get to sit around at work all day and read. Once you spend all day in a library you don't want to go home and read. I like to go home and watch the news and sleep.

I keep it real when it comes to reading. However I don't feel like being a librarian ruined reading for me, so my statement from my other point doesn't really mean that I guess. I'm just cynical about it all. I feel like people ruin reading for everyone. I feel like people try to "out read" each other. They like to mention what they believe are the most classic titles and claim that they are their "favorites"....and I just eye roll it all.

Personally, when people find out I'm a librarian they love to rattle off all of these boring titles that they claim they've read or are currently reading and I'm just like "Yaawn...that sounds miserable". I guess its supposed to impress me but nah. My favorite books are the Sophaholic series. Becky Bloomwood is my girl.... Anna Karenina can have several seats.

I love a literate society and I love that people love to read but sometimes I feel like people treat it as a competition and they aren't true to themselves when it comes to their book selection

If it helps make you feel better I am DEFINITELY not a reader and won't bore you with my reading list and prove I do not find it to be a competition

Update.

Not gonna win the billion dollars. Because Ohio State is stupid and Colorado is clearly not playing to win...or score even...like are they high?

Update.

The bracket I did for my mom is still perfect...So my mom could still win a billion...

@HeresAThought Lol I hear you. I sometimes love a classic... But I also love a 25 cent Danielle Steel 1980s relic from the thrift store. And I don't say I love books that I don't love (ftr I actually do love Pride and Prejudice - I'm reading it now because we just talked about it) And I'm not reading books I don't want to read either, no matter how many people love them and no matter how many times amazon tells me to (I'm talking to you, Art of Racing in the Rain and Light Between Oceans)

I laugh when I read People and they ask celebrities what they're reading and they say the most absurd things that we all know they're not reading.

Right now I'm alternating books. I'm trying to read some of the books you're "supposed" to read in life, not so much because I love them, as much as because my kids are reading them for school and I'm feeling like I just... should. You know... In case I'm ever on Jeopardy. Then I switch back to a quick murder mystery/thriller that I can read in a day.

I also have over an hour commute every day, so I get a lot of reading done. I can't read the same types of books all the time, so I switch from classics to trashy romance to James Patterson. Anything that keeps me from falling asleep on the train is good enough for me.

I'll take that billion... I had Dayton and I have Harvard over Cinci so I'm going to need them to keep this up. I clearly put zero thought into my picks this year, and it's working out nicely...

My moms bracket had Dayton and Harvard and Pitt....so there is some hope.

I'm currently reading Secret Life of Bees because I saw the movie a couple years ago and fell in love with it. The book is pretty much exactly the same as the movie, so I'm slightly disappointed in that I'm not really getting anything new. A friend has told me I HAVE to read The Fault In Our Stars before the movie comes out. I've heard a lot of people say this book has changed their life, but Idk if they're being over dramatic with that or not.
I've read the Harry Potter series 13 times and plan to read it some more. They're my go to when I want to read but don't want to spend money on new books

I loved The Secret Life of Bees.... but I'm also from South Carolina so I have that connection.

The Fault in Our Stars did nothing for me. I didn't feel sad. I did not shed not nary a tear.....It is overrated and over hyped and absolutely blah. Its just a quick read. The book tried too hard.

I also don't too much have a soul so.......

But for the record I love realistic YA Fiction.

The Hate List- excellent
13 Reasons Why- Excellent
The List- almost excellent
Perks of Being a Wallflower- kind of excellent
If I Stay- knocked on excellence's door

Right now I'm listening to Wintergirls just because I'm trying to learn to like audio books however its failing.

I don't like Wintergirls...

They're over dramatic about tfios. I read it because everyone told me and yeah it's good, but not exceptionally great or life changing (and I love John Green!) I just didn't think it was as good as it was hyped up to be. Maybe I would've enjoyed it more if I had no expectations. I'm still excited for the movie though. I think it's more likely to make me cry than the book.
