I loved The Secret Life of Bees.... but I'm also from South Carolina so I have that connection.

The Fault in Our Stars did nothing for me. I didn't feel sad. I did not shed not nary a tear.....It is overrated and over hyped and absolutely blah. Its just a quick read. The book tried too hard.

The same people that suggested Gone Girl to me also suggested The Fault in Our Stars. Sooooooooooo... Add that to my list of things I'm NOT reading.

Never read Secret Life of Bees, but I just saw the movie for the first time a few weeks ago. I loved it! Maybe I'll try the book too.

I also don't too much have a soul so.......

But for the record I love realistic YA Fiction.

The Hate List- excellent
13 Reasons Why- Excellent
The List- almost excellent
Perks of Being a Wallflower- kind of excellent
If I Stay- knocked on excellence's door

Right now I'm listening to Wintergirls just because I'm trying to learn to like audio books however its failing.

I don't like Wintergirls...

I loved Perks of Being a Wallflower. I think my favourite book I've ever read, as cliché as it may be, is The Color Purple. I had to read it for a class project, and it was just absolutely incredible. Another great one is Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. Difficult to read as it changes between generations/periods of time pretty nonchalantly, but it's great. Had to read it twice to really get anything from it.

There are still nice people in the world. I was struggling (hardcore) to get my car out of the driveway to drive to class. We got about 8 inches last night and classes weren't cancelled. Anyway, an elderly couple drove by me and plowed my car out so thanks to them I was not laye for my test today! Thank you a million times! And when I offered them money they refused. Sometimes I love people :-)

Gone Girl has been riding around in my trunk since July along with the Spectacular Now and Reconstructing Amelia

Perks of working at the library.... no over due fines.

Double post but I did my bracket this year and showed my boyfriend who is OBSESSED with basketball... he laughed in my face and called me dumb. :( I chose random upsets and clearly I didn't choose the right ones lol

(ftr I actually do love Pride and Prejudice - I'm reading it now because we just talked about it)
I also have over an hour commute every day, so I get a lot of reading done. I can't read the same types of books all the time, so I switch from classics to trashy romance to James Patterson. Anything that keeps me from falling asleep on the train is good enough for me.

I was thinking about reading it again too lol. I didn't enjoy Emma, though I do enjoy the movie which is odd.

My favorite romance novelist is Johanna Lindsay. I own every single book she has written and read them all numerous times. I have never gotten rid of a book in my life. I still have my entire collection of The Babysitter's Club in the attic.

Have you seen Perks of Being A Wallflower? Is movie better than the book? Because I love the movie and I've been wanting to read the book for a while now!

The book is substantially better than the movie. The movie was good, but filmmakers need to stop casting Emma Watson in American roles. Her American accent is HORRENDOUS. Also (not trying to give anything away here) but I never really understood the ending of the movie as it compares to the book.

Book is better than the movie, but I did like the movie. Everything about the book is better. I also think Charlie wasn't cast correctly. The guy in the movie didn't seen fragile enough

I'm bothered by the fact that Taylor Swift is in The Giver.

I don't necessarily dislike Taylor Swift. Homegirl has some hits, But she was tragic in Valentines Day

I'm just not here for her ruining The Giver with her presence.

In other news. Please think positive thoughts for my moms bracket. She's still in it to win it and I promise not to forget y'all when I become a millionaire

But now that I look up I see that Harvard is starting to act basic...
