This absolutely disgusting older lady is sitting behind me in my thanatology class and she will not. stop. coughing. It's making me crazy. Like every 20 seconds she coughs loudly and without covering her mouth. She did this the last two classes, too. I'm about to lose it. It's so distracting and it's such a gross sound.

We were working on our August calendar for yearbook, which we write on a dry erase calendar so everyone can see it, and it started on Monday and was super confusing. I've just always been told "Sunday is the first day of the week" so it's normal for me.... I think it's just the US wanting to be different.

As someone who read the majority of the books and is only 18, I feel the same way. I can't hang with the show and have gotten to the point where the books have jumped the shark.

I have family friends here from Israel and they are looking for an apartment in the Bay Area because one of them is a professor at Stanford. They were looking at an apartment in the "wrong area" and he described it as something you would see in the movies in his little Israeli accent. He's adorable!

Hey, yesterday I watched the Emmys and in many ways this award show angers me...:mad:
I have not watched the show in the last 3 years because I quickly get bore with Award shows. However, shockingly, I tune into this program and did not know ahead of time the nominees and never watched many of the programs nominated, but I pretty much with 90% accuracy guessed all the winners. By looking at last year Emmy winners, which many won again. Crazy!
Year after year, the same people are winning the Emmys and I am starting to think that they need to drop a nominee after they win 3 times straight and/or find a new judges every year. This award has become very stale and how can 1 person drag home the same award for 5 or 6 years in a row. It appears the people who are judging and voting are just selecting the same actors and shows year after year without watching any of the new nominees. JMO
