OT New New Random Thread...

Yeah... They're cut out of gums (surgically) and then the holes are stitched shut. I ruined my stitches because I'm inpatient and now have holes in my mouth.

thats so gross.. hoping my wisdom teeth dont have to come out...

I got a filling on wednesday and i am horrible with my dental care and im really prone to cavities so i've had fillings a lot. I always get put on the gas because i am always a little scared. But this time i didnt fall asleep, and i saw my dentist put a needle thing into my gums and injected with some type of numbing stuff, and i didnt even feel it. I have no clue why that made me happy, but i started giggling haha. My older sister stayed in the room to watch cause she took me to the dentist because my mom was working, and she said the dentist would ask me a question and i'd reply about 3 minutes later. Gotta love the laughing gas!!

Hahah my mom video taped me on the drive home. She has a 3 minute video of me trying to get my tongue out of my mouth, I couldn't feel it but I could feel it touching the roof of my mouth and I didn't know what it was, it's pretty funny

Last year I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth taken out over spring break but something came up so we waited.

I still haven't gotten them out and I have never had any pain with my teeth so I'm a little confused as to why they wanted them out then? I'm 19 next month and don't most people have trouble at like 17/18? I never needed braces or anything so I wonder if that has anything to do with it

I'm dreading it. I don't have time for that lol and I am such a little girl when it comes to any sort of pain. I can't even get my blood drawn w/o crying.

I bought some Soffee shorts (old school right lol) from JCP today and apparently they redesigned them and the inseam is SOOOO SHORT. Like, an inch. Maybe. I still bought them bc they were like $2 and I just wanted to wear them to class, but I don't think I'll be able to because they're literally so short & supposed to be super low rise. And I got an XL when I usually wear a medium, in hopes they'd look longer. They don't.

Why??? Who needs shorts that short??? Especially for a brand geared around women's sports? I just don't get it lol

Anesthesia makes me super emotional, nothing I did was funny like everyone else after they get their wisdom teeth removed. When I got home my sister was making fun of my attempts to talk and I started bawling. Then my mom was trying to make me take my pain meds but I was so numb that I couldn't really drink and she was like "you HAVE to take it or you're going to be in a lot of pain" and I started crying again. :oops:

They're teeny tiny. I have 2 pairs like that. I wear them but I hate them. I almost never wear them. I wear them as my PE shorts and the first couple of times I wore them I felt so awkward. One of the girls on my dance team rolls them and it looks like part of her butt is hanging out of the bottom of her shorts. Every time she wears them I'm like :confused: :rolleyes:

Sometimes I do whenever the waistband is annoying me, but I still make sure my spandex aren't visible AT ALL. And by the way, I don't know where my coaches got them, but for kiddie camp this year, we had the original Soffees and we just got them back in June. I got the new ones last June so maybe they didn't quit making them entirely, they might just be harder to find. I'll see if I can find them!

I work at JCP and I'm pretty sure we had a wall of them but I was just checking out clearance and they were all of the short ones! I don't think the normal ones are all gone yet either :)

They might be getting rid of the short ones completely then, because I just looked on their website and I only saw the original length. We can hope!

Soffee's probably trying to save fabric lol. I think we, the consumers, are at least partly to blame though. Lots of people in our sport seem to think that a 3" inseam is too long.

Update: I was wrong. They just call them "new Soffes." Unfortunately, they are not getting rid of them :(

My dad still has his and hes 48. My sister and I still have ours as well. We are 22 and 20. We figure if theyre not bugging us or messing up our teeth which my mom always says she paid a lot of money for (braces) theres no point in getting them removed.

That's interesting to know. When I went to the dentist for my teeth cleaning last year they mentioned it, and I told them I haven't had pain or antything. I asked how often people don't need them out and they kinda just laughed at me. But I've heard of people like you and your sister so I was a little confused!
