I guess I just dont understand the allure of it. Unless I religiously went to the same theater 24/7 and knew exactly what seats to pick every time. But im also one of those people that like a little personal space. Ive sat next to enough people who chit chat through the whole thing, check their cellphones throughout or dont believe in personal hygiene, to not want to get stuck next to a complete stranger..Our regular theatres are first come first serve, but you can pay for the upgraded theatre which has assigned seating. Worth the extra $3 each time so I can buy the seats I want and don't have to line up an hour before hand to get a good seat. Anyone is assigned seats is asked to move, and if they refuse, theatre staff move them along since they can't produce a ticket for those seats
But ive also encountered a lot of people who are extremely defensive about it being the best thing ever to happen to movie theaters.
