Anyone know where I can watch videos of Worlds routines from 2004-2015? USASF's Youtube channel only offers 2016-2020 routines.

YT is still your best shot. Results get a little leaner the further back you go, and you probably won’t find everything you’re looking for but it’s still pretty reliable.

Also about Y5:

This year CEA brought Youth Elite (Y5) back.

I don't think there are any other Y5s right now though.

I'm 99% sure they competed against no one at all the major comps this season but did receive a bid to the Summit.

Not sure if they would have attended or not due to lack of competition.

I saw that too? Admittedly I don’t follow lower levels as much but I can’t think why they would bring that team back if the division is pretty much bankrupt.

Maybe it’s to accommodate a few athletes who wouldn’t qualify for JR5 age- or skills-wise. Or maybe it’s got something to do with YE being a feeder team for SE.

CEA Kville doesn't have enough athletes to field each of those teams individually and it gives the kids a chance to learn different stunting positions. Example, if I'm not mistaken CSP's younger based on YE and flew on Crush during her last year of eligibility for both.

Yeah I think their model of cross-training via multiple teams does have value in the sense that kids get to try more than one position. Or get to be highlighted differently on another team (with skills you maybe can't use on your Worlds or J6 team.)

Ex: There are SE girls who fly on SE but base/back on Crush. Or maybe they don't tumble much on Crush but are last pass on YE.

I'm behind and catching up on the TVCC news. It wouldn't surprise me to switch up the school just as they did with Last Chance U. I personally think it would be pretty interesting to focus on both schools and the competition between the two. And fairly easy considering their close proximity.

My dad is a mod for a college alumni site that keeps seeing lots of personal attacks, profanity, etc. It’s a huge school — big on the college football scene — and so this all looks bad for the brand as well as him personally. Any tips I can tell him to avoid this in the future? Because this board, despite the occasional kerfuffle, is probably the most civilized one I know of. This despite the fact that most of us don’t know each other in our real lives, and probably could say whatever we wanted without repercussion (the people on the alumni page have their names attached to their outbursts). And yet, we’re all pretty chill.

I gather that it’s self-policing that accomplishes this here, but what else?

I cant really offer perspective on how the board self regulates, but I do have experience as a mod for a few friends that stream on twitch. I'd say making the rules clear and enforcing them overtly the easiest way to maintain civil discourse It's never fun to bring down the 'ban hammer' but it gets the point across, and doing so every time it occurs makes it clear that the behavior is never welcome. Essentially, if the people in chat know that a mod who means business is watching, then they behave.

Plus on the board I admin, we ended up setting up a separate section only available to members with a certain number of posts (to prevent sock puppet accounts being created just to further the pot stirring) where debates, contentious topics, etc. can be a little more loosely moderated. We still enforce no personal attacks and enforce what happens there stays there and isn’t allowed to be brought into the other parts of the board. It’s working pretty well.

If people argue with your dad about the rules, ie profanity is freedom of speech, have him remind them of the rules set forth and if they want to argue it then find a different board to be a part of. If they continue then boot their asses.
