On the Today Show they said you can wear crop tops and bikinis until you're 48 (or some other arbitrary age that in no way should dictate what one can or cannot put on their body) so I very well may already be 40 and just not know it

Well you are looking GREAT for you're age. Very youthful ;)

Also eww I can't believe they said that! Next month they'll be talking about how girls start worrying about their appearances at a younger and younger age... Hmmm wonder why. Older people wear bikinis all the time at the beach, that's a crazy statement to make. I get super pumped when people are comfortable enough to wear things that show off their body. Like hell yeah girl, you rock it. Guys too, guys too.

I was actually concerned that I needed to stop wearing bikini's next summer (2016) when I'm 30.

Reason #5,672,894 why I hate living in Chicago: we went to see Cinderella today. We went at noon. A matinee. At a regular theater (not imax, not movico, not icon... Just regular old Regal Cinemas).

4 tickets, popcorn, candy, and soda for 4 people was $120. (this consisted of 2 popcorns, 4 medium sodas, and 4 candy packs)

I used to have that concern. Then I realized how hard I'm working to lose this weight. I assure all of you, if I get to my goal weight, I'm wearing a bikini.

Really, if I get to my goal weight, I might wear it every day. Like, to work and stuff.

Big purses that you can fit snacks and drinks in are your friend.
Yeah, we left late (thanks to my sister, despite me jumping around b*tching, which for some reason did not make her move faster...) so we didn't have time to stop at a store. I say something stupid like, "Well, it's not like we go to the movies a lot. We'll just get it there."

Seriously, I've been to the movies. I don't know what I was thinking. But even I was a little stunned at $120 and I didn't even get a steak or wine for it.

I go to the drug store and get snacks and a drink. I've been questioned a few times but I just let them know I'm diabetic and I need everything to have carb counts on it [emoji57]

...I took 4 people to see Cinderella the day it came out. 5 tickets, popcorn and soda for $25

(My library system rented out the theatre and sold tickets for $5 with free popcorn and soda)

The cost for five people Prob would have been just under 100 here.

Not about movies but related to the topic at hand - Yesterday I decided to put a shelf up in my room after spending too much time on Pinterest. (Also since moving, my room is not that furnished and I just want it to look put together...)

It is a rustic looking shelf that I would have to create myself. So I decided to go to Home Depot. One piece of wood, three pieces of pipe with the caps at wall mounts, wood stain, screws, and spray paint ran me $80. For one shelf. I could go buy atleast 3 shelves at Target for that much. But I don't like the way they all look. Ugh. Why do things have to be so expensive? I was so sad. This better look bangin' when I'm done.

My mom's a teacher and her school did something like that for Frozen. The movie was free but we were encouraged to make a donation to a charity (i forget which) and she had to pay for snacks and stuff. Movie snacks for the 5 of us came to $70

Saying clubs/bars should have age limits is a bit ridiculous, imo. Creeps are going to creep regardless of how old you or they are. I have gone out with my mom and her friends a few times, they can be fun. I have also sat and had a drink with my 62 year old aunt a few times when I saw her out!

I don't have a goal weight that I'm trying to reach or anything ...I just feel like all of the bikinis look like bags of skittles and starburst. I'm too old to look like I'm tasting the rainbow

Like Target for instance some of them are so cute but they look...childish and then when I look at the ones that aren't "juniors" they're too plain or nautical...so I leave with another Black bikini

Or I go to Victoria's Secret or some website and I'm like "$39.99 + each piece...hah no"

Victoria's secret has some really beautiful, mature bathing suits and it's so sad that they're so expensive. When I reach my goal weight that's what I'm treating myself with lol

It's definitely hard to find a bikini that does not look like it's for a teenager.

I am trying to just not care if I'm "too old" because I missed all those years of getting to wear one because I was too fat (well, I'm still way too fat - but less fat than I was!). I figure if I work this hard to get into it, then foo on anyone who says I'm too old.

I did find a couple on Venus, but they are also super expensive. Maybe as a reward if I am ready by summer.

I have a couple of suits from Victoria's Secret...but yes they're too expensive. I also don't have the body for them...and I don't say that in a "I'm fat" kind of way... they just never look right on me because I'm not long enough for them...and my waist is very square (rectangular?) like it goes straight dowb....so I can't wear triangle tops because I'm flat chested and my waist is square.. My tops have to be bandeau and the bottoms have to be low cut so that I don't look like spongebob. If If I were like 2-3 inches taller I'd look less ridiculous in them

I'm gonna have to look at Venus (and probably still not buy because of the price)

Almost every bathing suit I own is from Venus. If you plan ahead they have end of season sales where you can get them at a reasonable price, but even if you pay full price for them, they last forever.

A good quality swimsuit is worth the price. The fit alone makes me happy to pay whatever they want.

Venus, swimwearworld.com and gottex all have nice selections.
