Watched it again last night with my husband home. Even he got emotional at that and he's only watched a handful of episodes before.

I agree. I think with all the events in the revival, that ending kind of allows the viewer to make their own assumptions which I like. I have more I want to share on that topic but I don't want to spoil. I will say this though-late in the show "one true pairings" are overrated.
I'm not the most emotional person but that took me out.
Overall I liked the revival. I knew Richard's absence would be felt but I like how they made him a part of the show without him being there. That very seldom is well done in shows. It really felt like I was watching a mini season of the show which is really great. I'm glad they didn't give us one hour with one storyline, and no growth. Although, I was disappointed in Rory. Her story during the show was accurate to many people her age, but I felt like she was too old to be having some of her problems and dealing with them the way she did.

That's another piece of the way ASP wanted to end the show. The interview I read was not only about how those 4 words were meant to end the show, but also that this revival "season" was written for Rory to be 22, not 32, which is why there is a bit of a disconnect.
I still loved it, 22 or 32. I grew up with Rory, even though I'm a little younger, and the revival portrayed all the feelings of being lost, trying to be an adult, etc. that I sometimes feel. Hopefully I'll have it together by 32 lol but it didn't feel too far fetched. I actually took more issue with Paris' career. I know she's Paris but an MD with a speciality in OB/GYN = 8 years. JD in law school = 3 years. Some schools have a joint JD/MD program which would = 6 years, plus the 4 year residency... plus time to build her fertility clinic empire. Not buying it. But I'm probably only one of a few who is bothered by that of all things in the revival lol.

Yeah, I agree with you on the Rory front. I was not a diehard but I was familiar with show and I've even gone back to rewatch the series (couldn't wait and my diehard friend told me to go ahead and watch). I admire Rory for her maturation and drive, it just seemed like weird that she spent 10 years after graduation not really having anything stable. I'm early 20s, so I know this is a reality for everyone, it just seemed so unRory to be so lost at age 32. But seeing as though it wasn't the original plan, I can get over it.
With Paris, I agree she some unrealistic aspects too but I think she was suppose to be a comedic point especially with her history of being extreme type A and everything. She's like those girls in school who finds validation in her academics/reputation and then realize they've isolated themselves.

In completely unrelated news, the CP is out of retirement and getting back to the grind Sunday. She quit Allstars, -after 10 seasons, in July as school cheer and level 5 cheer came to a head as she was getting ready to start high school. Now that sideline is winding down (they are still cheering final 4 football), competition cheer has ended, and her favorite coach at the gym asked her for her assistance, she is back. We are back (we all know this is a family affair). After much discussion as a family, she's headed back to Rays and she's thrilled. She missed it, but just wouldn't tell us...She knew we insisted on As and getting involved in school activities too...and we still do. It's a balancing act she's willing to take on and since her adjustment to high school has gone so well, we feel like we have to let her. ESP since this will be a much lower stress team with her fav coach.

I gotta go back to Gilmore Girls for a sec (sorry folks).
I totally think everything Rory did in the revival was 100% in character for her. Like I love the girl, but she is objectively kind of a horrible person. From around season 2 she was becoming pretty darn conceited, and everyone just acts like she's some sort of angel/unicorn and enables her.
She crushes on Jess while still with Dean, then cheats with Dean once he gets married, then drops out of Yale once things get hard, then stops speaking to Lorelai, then steals a damn yacht. Now she cheats with Logan while he's engaged, forgets she has a long-term boyfriend, falls asleep mid-interview, acts like a job at a girlie blog is below her, and arrives at an interview without a pitch. Girl can be kind of awful.

Yeah, I love Gilmore Girls but agree with this completely. She's always been one of my least favorite characters, especially once she gets to Yale. I watched the show more for everyone else than for her.
In terms of the revival, I did like parts. But I feel like Rory's character displays absolutely no growth, and in part I think that's because ASP just wanted to end it the way she envisioned, rather than stepping back and seeing if it made sense for the revival/where Rory should be at 32. I agree with you that it's in character, I'd just hoped that the character would've displayed some sort of growth from who she was 10 years ago.
And don't even get me started on that job interview. It's not even just that she didn't interview well - she was rude and unprepared. And the entitlement was soooo awful. Just because someone loved your writing/resume/etc doesn't mean you're guaranteed the job - especially not when you show up and demonstrate that you don't care about getting the job at all.

I would've preferred it if Rory had been laid off or something along those lines. Wandering through her 20s and early 30s without any kind of anchor was unenjoyable watching.

Firt comp of the year in sweden today!! and they have a free livestream! YAY! But here is honestly one team competing to the 8 counttrack from custom grooves. and the music rules is nowhere to be seen in sweden. but i hope the teams that are competing worlds do follow them. we already have a disavantage from being not amerian and gettinga warning or points of from music should not count in that.

I'm at a gym with a not so serious full year Open Level 6 team that I'm currently on (1 practice a week). Would I be able to also do the half year Open 6 team? (1 to 2 practices a week). I just want to get more practices in. As far as I know these teams won't go to the same competitions. Can anyone tell me the rules for this situation and whether it is even allowed?

As a general rule, you cannot compete for more than one program at the same USASF event.
If you're kind of just doing the local circuit, "for fun" competitions and their schedules don't interfere, I don't see a problem. However, if they are attending USASF sanctioned comps/going for worlds' bids, the athlete registration and changing between primary/secondary programs and athlete releases could get tricky. Someone better versed in the athlete registration would have to answer that.
