Hey guys. This would be my second year of cheerleading and I absolutely love it so much. I've done 5 different sports, and this has to be my most favourite sport I've ever done. I absolutely love it. The thing is, this year my parents can't afford to pay for me and I'm old enough to get a job but no one will hire me! I've been so upset that I can't get a job to pay for cheer, and this would've been the last year I would ever do cheerleading because I'll be graduating next year. I'm switching to a different gym this year and is there any way that they have loans or anything? Also, can someone please give me ideas on how to raise money to pay for cheer? :(

Have you asked why people don't want to hire you? This may be a hint on what to do different the next time you apply for a job.

Other than what was already said:
- helping other kids with school (if your grades are good enough)
- running errands for people who aren't able to (working parents, the elderly,...)
- doing housework (cleaning, etc.)

My oldest cp is a lifeguard in the summer to help her pay for cheer. And during the school year she works at child salon & spa helping work all the kid birthday parties & front desk. How about applying at summer camps or day care centers. Or nanny/ after school care. You can put your info on those babysitter sites like care.com & sittercity.com. A lot of the kids here work at the ice cream/yogurt places too. Does your gym do camps or classes that you could help out with? You could go in & talk to the director and explain your situation & they may be able to suggest some options too. Good luck!
