does anyone know if prep team uniforms are still required to be different then non prep teams?

I don't believe that it was ever a requirement, just a suggestion.

I agree, I think it was a cost factor as most gyms try to lower the costs for prep teams. Prep teams and half-season teams typically only compete three times depending on the gym. They do not want to pay $300 plus for a uniform. I know several gyms that just rents the uniforms to the prep and half-season teams and only charges like $50 for the rental costs. Part of the appeal of the prep and half-season teams is the lower costs.

As far as I was aware they are stil suppossed be different then the "program" uniform thus to seperate them since you cant cross between prep and non prep teams..

I don't think they're required to be different though. Most prep teams just have cheaper uniforms than the competitive teams from their gym since it's supposed to be cheaper than a competitive team.

Thank you everyone. I was asking because we were prep last year and this year we aren't and it looks like we are using the same uni so I was just curious. I am all for using it again. We paid $225 and it was worn three times and looks really nice on the floor. Saves me a few bucks for the season. :-)
