I actually think he HIGHLY distracts from the routine as a whole, especially during the dance.

i noticed they base full ups the collegiate way. I've never seen an all star team do it like that before.

I don't like how during one part of the dance he just walks around the front of the dance. No moves or anything, he just walks to his next spot.

I have to agree. During the dance he is just there in the middle. Sure he dances a bit but he just walks around. Great tumbling though. Maybe it was just me but it seemed that the uniform didn't fit well either because he kept fussing with it.

during jumps watching the girl at the front with braces on both ankles hurts my knees and ankles just looking when she lands her jumps with her feet apart and her knees touching, ouchh...

Like, it's a dance. He was walking like he was casually going to his next spot for jumps or tumbling. I'd rather have some cheesy shimmying move across the floor than 'hands glued to side so I can get to my next spot' walk like what they have.
