What if her mom went into her job on Friday and they told her that she has to relocate to their Texas offices or she's out of a job? (purely hypothetical - no idea what her mom does for a living). Even 38 days without paid work will be tough, especially with Champions League and Worlds.
I'm just trying to say, people are very quick to judge and say that athletes are disloyal, uncommitted, downright betraying their team by moving.
More often than not its a real life situation which has caused this but being in our little cheer bubble we don't even consider that.
And also (not referencing you here), I have seen on twitter people are saying "just have her live with a host family!".
Pretty ridiculous to even imagine that. I am all for commitment but if in your own mind cheerleading > family then you may have to sort a few things out.
A 12/13 year old girl staying with a family she isn't used to while her whole family jets 1300 miles away and she's left behind, during arguably the biggest 2 months in her life. I can't even imagine that and I'm 18, let alone 13.
@Nikaa Bianca Tregar from Cali Coed. Last couple of years has been on Jr Mafia, this is her first year eligeable for Worlds. Moved to Cheer Athletics Junglecats.
