Rec Rec Rules And Regulations? What Guidelines Do They Follow?

I know of maybe two or three teams in the entire region that are true level 4 teams, but even then, the entire team doesn't tumble. They have more level 2 tumbling, then maybe 5 or 6 out of 24-30 have tucks or more.

My rec team doesn't either. Lol, they will be a team of 20 with mainly level three tumbling, about 5-8 with just backhandsprings or no tumbling and one layout & a full. Their stunting is pretty good, about a solid 4 so they would do very well as a level 4 team. But they just don't want to spend all this money & time at competitions and never compete against anyone :p

I just had to. Was at a really large local competition yesterday. We do UCA style cheer and was one of the only programs at this competition that did. Everyone else was NCA/AS type cheer. But I ask the question because every other team, even down to the Pee wees were doing basket tosses....I am sitting in the audience like what in the world is going on? Still trying to figure out what regs these teams are following? Because I am thinking even AS at these lower levels tosses are illegal.
On the other note, there were some amaizing Senior Rec and Prep (MS) teams that were amazing. I was nice watching 7-9 stunts groups all doing kick fulls that were beautiful....then you got to HS varsity where baskets are legal and I was holding on to my seat because their tosses were soooooo bad, I just knew someone was going to get hurt.

Tosh, I coach in NJ as well and follow UCA. ,my girls were at a comp and I saw tosses.. I couldnt believe it, but they were teams that use different rules, even though we were using UCA score sheets?? it was odd. I love watching your team perform... all levels, MS,JV, and Varsity. Yes we will be at nationals. I coach the Jr. Streaks. We are working our butts off! LOTS of big senior rec competition this season!! Hope to see you all soon!
