It's just fame. It isn't money or guarantee of success. It is way more scrutiny. People confuse fame, success, and financial payback. If they just had fame this would be so much easier. I saw an article interview Sia which I thought summed it up pretty well.

“If anyone besides famous people knew what it was like to be a famous person, they would never want to be famous,” Sia wrote. “Imagine the stereotypical highly opinionated, completely uninformed mother-in-law character and apply it to every teenager with a computer in the entire world. Then add in all bored people, as well as people whose job it is to report on celebrities. Then, picture that creature, that force, criticizing you for an hour straight once a day, every day, day after day.”
I'm also thinking of TLC and how they got cheated out of millions by Pebbles, L.A. Reid, and others.

he's aged out of seniors, the webshow is over... gotta strike while the iron is hot before he becomes irrelevant.

all kidding aside, I understand why any kid (not just cheerlebrities) who grow up in the sport aspire to open their own gyms and I fully support them trying to chase that dream. but it ISN'T EASY. If he is serious, I hope he is working in gyms and being a sponge absorbing everything, good and bad, that is presented to him. I hope he has some behind the scenes support. and I really hope he isn't blowing every cent he's earned from web series, camps, rap videos? (i hope that didn't make him money lol) on a half-a$$ attempt at opening a gym while forgoing college. College isn't for everyone so I won't say "shut up and go to college" but I will say you better be putting in work if you expect your gym to last more than a year and do your research about location and the potential market you're entering - not just choosing a location based off of how many fangirls retweeted your tweets. and have a back-up plan for your back-up plan if it all doesn't work out.

I wonder... why don't we see more kids trying to get into apparel design, or music mixing, or choreography? Or even just coaching? I know that we glorify gym ownership, but there are other ways in which to be successful in cheer.
I think there are plenty who do get into those aspects of the industry; we just don't necessarily hear about it. BUT, those tend to be more behind the scenes roles with less perceived glory - therefore, not as attractive to those seeking to continue their 'fame'.

So while we're on the topic of cheerleaders becoming irrelevant...what ever happened to Apple? I mean Liam? I mean honestly, I don't really want to know but what I think we just need to realize is that these kids are going to do what they want. We've watched it happen. So fasten your seatbelt and get your popcorn...

Let's just say, if anyone goes looking for Apple you're gonna need to be in the 18+ area for that conversation.

To this day I look for that thread. I almost died laughing reading it. Anybody seen it?

I gained ALL of my negative ratings in that thread. Lol... Is it still even on the boards I haven't looked recently?

I figured the quickest way to find that thread was to search for the funniest recipe reference ever, but, alas, the thread is gone.

I'm sad I missed that thread---of all the topics AS cheer could touch, that is certainly a unique venture!

He recently popped up (snicker) on CP's Twitter or instagram.

he popped up (lol) in the people I may know on twitter and I have no self control and clicked on it anyway. and immediately regretted that decision on the first post I saw. :jawdrop: twitter has absolutely zero censoring rules, huh?
