Can you find an example? And how long they take to deploy? You can roll out mats in less than 2 minutes (we had to roll them out, perform, then roll them up in less than 7 so it is possible!)

Think of a tank track...a hinge system. it can roll up on itself. (butterfly hinge) versus having a 5' x 5' foot board you go 2.5' x 5' that can roll out and lock together from back to front and side by side. Two tracks per mat that would be 21' long. 18 total for a 9 panel floor. Any longer than that I feel would be to large to move around at smaller venues, like high schools

I tried to look up a demo video but all I found were their typical air traks. Nothing for their rebound mat. When I saw these they were not showing any breakdown/storage but I think bc the appeal was that they could be left alone and never needed re-airing. I'm going to look at the specs a little closer and see if I can find more details on their website.

Looking at it more closely it sounds pretty much like their Sweet Spot which is equipment we did buy on that GAT trip. It deflates/loses pressure overnight so it does need to be re-aired after 24 hours or so.
It can't be used on hard surface so there would have to be padding underneath. Also it may lose that special bounce with foam carpeting on top.
Right idea but wrong specs. Needs some tweaks to work. I'm going to experiment at the gym with the sweet spot and see if it would lose bounce under a panel.

Exactly what I was thinking!! It would take some work to get the boards to fit precisely together, but being able to roll-up the actual springs would be amazing!! It would obviously be heavier, but once rolled-up you could roll them just like normal cheer mats! Great idea ThatCheerDude!!!

Before this idea becomes reality, can we please get spring floor in Europe?! I know there are spring floor in some countries, but not all... :(

A cost affordable roll out spring floor would allow you to get one.

That's kind of what I was envisioning, but with a rod/ski floor design instead of springs so it would be able to roll up easier.

We have an air floor that is quite thick and it takes about five minutes to inflate with a leaf blower. We put a strip of normal floor on top of it because it takes some of the crazy rebound out and provides a more familiar surface. Not sure how expensive it was though.

Air floors really aren't practical or safe for cheer. They are designed to be used by one athlete at a time, due to rebound issues. They're great for one or two people at a time, when you throw 35 people on at once and they're all stunting, jumping and tumbling at the same time...people fall and get hurt.

Also with the air tracks, I've only seen people tumbling straight down the center of them. How well would they perform in the instance a stunt came down that was straddling 2 tracks pushed together? Would it be much better with some sort of top layer? How do you design it so that a top layer does not obscure a damaged panel? I'm seeing sensors and loads of velcro...

We have one of those air panels at our gym. It's used to transition from the Tumbl Trak to the floor. It feels basically like tumbling on the spring floor, but it gives you more height. Personally, it's too bouncy for me, but then again, I just like throwing things on the floor.
Not sure how I feel about using those as an entire floor. Haven't you ever played popcorn on trampoline? Like stated above, how would these floors be safe? How would you expect an entire team throwing jumps to tucks on these panels without stealing each other's bounce?
