Just trying to spread the word! Details and the registration link are at the following link: Cheerleading Camps and Clinics from the KU Cheerleaders Traditionally this has been more of a youth event, but it really works well as a cheap college visit option so I've split the 1-hour clinic into a Youth track and a Coed Stunt track, and we'll probably have a walking tour of campus. Spirit Day: Sept. 8 vs. Rice At Spirit Day, participants cheer with KU's Cheerleaders and Rock Chalk Dancers inside Memorial Stadium for the first half of a football game. Cost is $50 per participant which includes game entry, t-shirt, lunch, 1-hour clinic (split into a Youth clinic for younger kids, and a Coed Stunt clinic for Jr. High and High Schoolers). Extra football tickets can be purchased in the registration packet (linked below) for $15 per person. The schedule for Sept. 8 is as follow: 10:30 am: Check-in (location TBD) 11:00 am: 1-hour clinic 12:00 pm: Lunch box handout and dismissal (depending on clinc location, we may have an optional walking tour of campus during this time) 1:30 pm: Participants and coaches line up at the south end (ie, the open end) of the stadium to enter the field at 1:45pm. (Parents with game tickets enter through the regular ticket gates.) 2:30pm: Kickoff of KU vs. Rice; participants cheer the first half of the game in the north bowl with the KU cheerleaders and dancers. Half-time: Parents pick up kids at the north bowl. Participants may watch the remainder of the game in the north bowl stands.
