All-Star Small Senior 3

My daughter is small sr 3 this year and the division is tiny. I thought with the the minor age grid change it would grow but I’m finding 4.2 to be larger at local comps. A huge change for us coming from J2 and J3 last year.

Has this always been a small division?

I looked at Summit 2023, and it had 15 Level 3 Sm Sr teams versus 38 Level 4.2 Sr Sm teams. It (4.2) has ended up being a great place for Sr strong level 2 athletes, not as strong level 3 athletes, along with blocking higher level athletes. For those reasons, I can see how it would reduce the number of Sm Sr 3 teams.
