We have just come into a situation where we only have 6 people to do a cheer routine. We had a team of 9 but we lost 5 people in the past week unable to travel to the competition. We have managed to replace 2 to bring back to 6 but not sure how to do a cheer routine with less than 8. In the rules obviously you can do it with 5 but how do you get around the pyramids ect. Has anyone seen this be done well?

Go to uca.varsity.com and look up Belle Chasse High School. They have 11 girls and use them fabulously.

You could, for example, connect a single-based hitch to a shoulder sit. Cheerwiz.com's pyramid tool is great for brainstorming.

What division/level?

You can do a stunt with 4 and attach a girl on the ground with the arms to make a basic pyramid.
