The four-time World Champions of California All-Stars – Smoed today announced their return to the popular AwesomenessTV YouTube series “Cheerleaders” via a Press Release announced on August 2nd. After controversy rocked the team shortly following The Cheerleading Worlds in May, the owners of California All Stars removed their program from the series and issued the following statement along with their release.
“Being featured on AwesomenessTV introduced SMOED to the world, but it also showcased our team in good times and bad. We know many of you were let down by us last season. Like all teams we had tough times, but ours were magnified thru the lens of the cameras. Despite this, we believed in our ability to regroup, rebuild and overcome our biggest challenges to date and we are now prepared for our best season ever.”

We’re happy to see that Cali Smoed will be returning to the series. They’ve been a great program to follow and a huge innovator for the sport. Kudos to Tannaz, Jeff and Eddie for never giving up!
