This makes me Smile! Been waiting years for a competition like this!!

I cant wait to see how they put this together! This is exciting!!

I remember there being a competition in Puerto Rico that my open team talked about going to..and I think there was one in Hawaii. Yeah, SO going there to compete..;)

I wonder how they got by the no passport thing? And do you compete on a boat?!?! HAHA i could just imagine my luck, Hit a wave, there goes susies tick tock. This would be interesting though.

Same thing I thought!! Stunting and then hit a wave...not good.

Well I want to go. The problem of finding a connected hotel is solved. the only problem is Cheersport is really close to that date and I'd be too broke for cheersport if we went.

Silly question- So the competition would take place on a boat? Makes me nervous thinking about sea sickness/not being adjusted to your sea legs.

What if you hit a wave or another thing and someone gets seriously injured or someone busts... What happens then...

well i guess all anyone can do at that competition is hope and pray the ship doesnt go down like the titanic.

This is one of the best ideas I have witnessed!! Im sure they will work it out somehow...ex: wave machines at practice? :)

But for real, I bet it would be a fun trip!

ive never been on a cruise. But i love this company so this may be my first(:

Here's the answer on the passport... Carnival Cruise Lines strongly recommends all of our guests travel with a valid passport. However, as of June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens embarking on a cruise that both originates and terminates at the same U.S. port are not required to have a passport, but will need proof of citizenship such as an original or certified copy of a birth certificate, a certificate of naturalization, a passport card, an enhanced driver’s license (EDL) as well as a government-issued photo ID. Children are also required to bring proof of citizenship, and if 16 and over, a photo ID is also required.

We were discussing this tonight at the gym...it will be interesting to see how well it takes off. Most cruise ships have stabilizers to prevent big sways but I would imagine if some of the kids are not used to cruising they may get sick.....
I've already started looking at tickets for Atlanta...lol
