The question is .... Will the summit bids be given out during each award ceremony or only at the end of the competition?

If I had to guess, I'd say that the two paids go to the two top scores of the whole thing and that the at larges will be given to each of the level champs (or second place in the case of the two top scoring teams). If that's the case, I feel like they'd have to wait to the end unless they did all the level champs with bids and then awarded the two paids at the end and who gets the two passed down at larges.

I wonder what room they're using for awards... I've never been to a Tacoma comp where they've used more than just the main room.

To my knowledge, non of the EP's have ever used a room that wasn't on the top floor. since warmups take one room and the competition uses the other room, I'm not sure where else they would hold awards... They would have to move downstairs, but usually there is something else going on there....

Here is a paragraph taken from the confirmation packets that is on Home Page
Where will the awards ceremonies take place?
A: Solo and group award’s will take place on Saturday immediately following their performances on the main stage. All awards ceremonies will take place in the “Ballroom on the Third Floor” throughout the day on Sunday. Please see the Sunday schedule for details.

:( this makes me very sad

I don't see the awards schedule anywhere though. It looks like they are updating the schedule on Monday (as stated on their site) so it could possibly be included in that update once some of the stragglers are added to the schedule.

I've seen dance competitions down there on the same weekend as cheer but it was always put on by a diff EP because it wasn't cheer dance. I wonder if maybe this year they reserved both rooms for this weekend to do the lower level awards down there because it's so big and then do 4 and 5 at the end up in the main hall.

ETA - just saw the prev post

Ditto. As chaotic and time consuming that awards can be sometimes-I hate that we don't get to celebrate a win with everyone. It's just whoever chooses to stop by that room at the time. Last time at ATC one of our coaches couldn't even stay for awards because another of our teams were on deck.

I missed awards for one of my youth team last year because I was with another team, sprinted to the awards but they had closed the doors and wouldnt let me in to the theater.

Well going by your picture I would assume we are from the same team.. I must admit I didn't get up from my seat to go to awards... I kinda waited for either parents who I was sitting with or my cp's to come and tell me who won.

For the summit do you guys think it'll be overall best scores or..?

It's two paid and 7 at-larges so that's at least one for every level. I feel like I read somewhere that they have to give out awards to all levels equally (??) so I would guess that they will be ranking eligible teams based on points out of 100% and then first giving the two paids to the two highest scoring teams and then 5 at-larges to the grand champs from each level and then the other two at-large's to the next two highest scoring teams regardless of level.

Honestly though, I can't find out how they are doing it anywhere online so I'm not sure that's entirely accurate.

Absolute Fusion Sr 1 and Nw Silverstars youth 2 (??) have received at large summit bids so far

Velocity tool the bid (senior 2) and peace arch took it for small senior 3
