Standing Full Help!!!

I'm not sure what equipment you have at your disposal, I personally progressed myself up to the floor when I was learned it.

I progressed using the following: (top to bottom)
  • Working back tuck with open hips, and no grab
  • Standing full from the end of a Tumble-Trak onto Resi
  • Standing full off Tumble-Trak to Resi, with unfolded panel mat on Resi
  • Standing full off spring-floor, into Resi
  • Off Spring floor, into Resi, with unfolded panel mat
  • Standing full off of panel mat, onto 8 inch crash mat
  • Standing full on floor on Sting-Mat
  • Standing full on floor

They do it that way because they say it prepares you for college cheer better!
Love it! I never liked when teams take steps before their standing skills. To me it looks so much cleaner without it.
 
Heres a drill my coach made me use to get my standing full higher.
1) stack a cheese mat high enough on top of other mats so that it is just below shoulder level
2) stand facing away from the mat, but close enough to be able to jump back onto it
3)jump and set as high as possible so that your hips and butt land up on the mat, make sure you push your hips upward when you jump.
4) at the height of your set, right as you land with your hips on the mat, pull your knees quickly over your right/left shoulder
5) finish your spin by rolling down the cheese mat and pulling your hips around
If you cant finish your rotation, pull your knees faster

do this repeatedly, making it higher up every few times. this will teach you to pull your knees faster for a faster spin. hope it works out :)
