2011 Tryouts

Open House Saturday, May 7, 2011
1:00pm: Open House will begin, meet and greet, light snacks and drinks will be provided
2:00pm: 1st Informtional Meeting will begin - regarding our all star program for the 2011-2012 season.
4:00pm: 2nd Informational Meeting will begin - regarding our all star program for the 2011-2012 season.
All returning and new members are welcome to come meet our staff and check out our facility.
MANDATORY Tryout Clinics May 9 and 10
Both days, Monday 5/9 and Tuesday 5/10 will be from 6:00-9:00pm
You do not have to attend both days, but everyone is welcome to
During these 2 clinic days, athletes will learn a "tryout dance", participate in open tumbling, and learn the tryout process

STAR Athletics Tryouts 2011: May 11 and 12
Each athlete will be given a tryout number that will go in order from youngest to oldest. The youngest athlete will be #1, and so forth. Athletes ages 14 and younger will tryout on Wednesday 5/11, while athletes 15 and older will tryout on Thursday 5/12.
Wednesday May 11: Ages 14 and Younger, will begin at 6:00pm
Thursday May 12: Ages 15 and Older, will begin at 6:00pm
Tryout Make up date: Saturday May 14 - call or e-mail to schedule an appointment

Below you find some general information regarding tryouts for next season.
Our Informational Meeting / Meet & Greet "OPEN HOUSE" will be on Saturday May 7, 2011 @ 1:00pm (meetings at 2:00pm and 4:00pm)
Tryouts: Tryouts will begin on Monday May 9th and finish on Thursday May 12th. Monday (5/9) and Tuesday (5/10) will be free tryout clincs where you will become comfortable in our gym, learn a tryout dance, participate in open tumbling, and learn the tryout process. You may come to either day, or both. The tryout clinics will take place in the evening between 6:00 and 9:00pm.
On Wednesday (5/11) and Thursday (5/12) you will tryout on ONE of these days, based on age. Tryouts will takes place sometime in the evening between 6:00 and 8:00pm. At the tryout, athletes will perform the dance they learned, running & standing tumbling, as well as jumps.
The following week, we will have "stunt/skill evaluations" where you will be invited to practice with athletes similar to your level so that your skills can be further evaluated. Here is where you will have the opportunity to showcase your stunting abilities.
Following this "evaluation" week, we will start to formulate "teams" of certain ages and level as per the USASF Level Guidelines. This will be your team for the summer practices, as "final" team placements are not decided until August 1, 2011.
