hi! well what you should do is go in a door frame, and put your leg up that you do your scorp with. try to get your back to touch you leg. also, you can use thera bands (stretchy rubber that is made for working out) to bring your leg higher. do bridges and back bends alot! another thing is grabbing a 2.5 lb weight and reaching back in your split. it seems scary, but it pays off. first time i did that, i got my needle! it was an accident! grab lower, and lock out! hope i helped.
