Any word on a block schedule for Summit? They aren't making the planning easy this year. Debating on getting park tickets since the parks close so early.

I wouldn't go by park hours that are listed now. They've been consistently extending them about 2-3 weeks out every week.Any word on a block schedule for Summit? They aren't making the planning easy this year. Debating on getting park tickets since the parks close so early.
But they have no problem charging a lot of $$ for these end of year Disney comps! For UCA if u have a reservation at one park u can go to another after 2 and park hop....maybe summit the same? With the current park reservation system , it does not make sense to buy park tickets. I just checked and most of the parks are not accepting reservations anymore. You might be able to get an Epcot or Animal Kingdom day around Summit. But forget Hollywood Studio's or Magic Kingdom.
The park was the main draw for when my CP went to Summit. Her team was not a true contender. The comp itself felt like so many others and was actually disappointing in some ways compared to other comps.
It's insane to me that Summit is in three weeks and there's still not even a block schedule released (unless I'm missing it). I was stressing over not having any information yet for Worlds as an adult only worrying about myself but, I can't imagine how much more stressful it is for parents trying to make plans around this time based on their kid(s) and the performance days/times. I know that things are touch and go this year but I feel like Varsity should have at least the ability to say what levels are going on what days and roughly what times (morning, afternoon, evening) by now.
That's a Disney rule, so I don't see why it would be any different for Summit. But they have no problem charging a lot of $$ for these end of year Disney comps! For UCA if u have a reservation at one park u can go to another after 2 and park hop....maybe summit the same?

i wish athletes hd the option of no park, but we know that will never happen!!!!!!Yes, park hopping is an option. But remember that you actually have to HOP. You must first check in at your original park and then go to a second one. If you are staying off site you will only have to pay for parking at the first park. But a ride share will cost you to the first park and then another to the second. And if you are staying on property you will have to figure out their transportation system. Either way, it's going to be a long process

Not unless Disney changes their requirement. All of their Youth Education Series and ESPN Youth Sport events require the student/athlete to have a park pass. <Disney Youth Program>
Theme park admission is required and all participants must purchase a Disney Youth Education Series ticket package to attend any Disney Youth Education Series program. Use of an admission ticket is required for entrance into the park on the date of your program. Tickets are valid for 7 days prior to your arrival date and after departure date. Annual Passes, complimentary admission and regular front-gate admission cannot be applied to the cost of a program.
Athletes have always had park passes as part of their tickets. Parents have the option of the espn only tickets. It's unfortunate because the athletes pass have continually gone up in price. I remember when they were close to $250 a ticket. Is this new? 2 years ago I only needed to buy an ESPN ticket for the day of Summit. I bought my park tickets at the park gates

I remember that. Our first year at UCA it was that way. Thank goodness they got rid of that. It was hectic. What @WhatAmIDoingHere said ^^^.
Side note, not too long ago, some of the teams competed in Hollywood Studios and parents had to purchase a park ticket to see their kid perform. I remember my husband and I saying the "please let my kids be scheduled in ESPN" prayer each year. Thank goodness that stopped.
we used to do that with Universal.......in the park competition. What @WhatAmIDoingHere said ^^^.
