All-Star Team Logos?

I was wondering what graphic design company teams use to design their logo. I am trying to have someone design my team's logo and it's just not quite right. The graphic designer doesn't get the allstar look and feel so it's hard to translate in the logo. Help!

I don't think there are any marketing agencies or designers that special in the spirit industry.

What you need to do is make sure you show him everything you like. Show him other logos from the industry. Make sure you include the colors that you like. The feeling you are trying to go for when you see it. etc. Most designers should be able to get it right and also give you a few ideas.

I would also check out http://99designs.com/. you get to have people submit different logos and tell them why you dont like it.

Logo Design Guru is great... It's a little bit more expensive but they give you a lot! Logo in jpeg, pdf, gif etc..., Letter head, business cards, Fax Cover sheets etc...

If I wasn't so busy with my internship and advertising projects I could have helped you. Graphic design is my major. Examples of other teams logos will be a help too just so he could get the feel for all star logos, even rough sketches you do of your vision. Trust me those are a god send when your designing for clients. If you have specific colors get them to match it with PMS codes so if you ever switch designers you have the exact colors to keep if uniform.

Logo Design Guru is great... It's a little bit more expensive but they give you a lot! Logo in jpeg, pdf, gif etc..., Letter head, business cards, Fax Cover sheets etc...

The letter head and all that isn't hard to do once you have the logo, you could really do that yourself or get a friend that has indesign to just place the logo on the sheet and add the little type needed. Same with basic business cards.

They make about 5-8 logos for you as well so you actually get to pick one then tell them what you want to change on that particular one!

Also whatever your favorite logo is from another gym call them personally and get that designers info. Then that designer will know exactly what you are looking for!

I do it for a living so all my teams stuff is done through me. Message me if you need anything! I think a lot of gyms (at least in my area) have staff, or talented cheerleaders that know how and do theirs as well. I only know of a couple of local gyms that actually have hired a company to do their work. Giving the designer as much info as possible helps a lot! We aren't mind readers, and if they have no ties to cheer they can research but its somewhat a shot in the dark with the cheer industry being so big and diverse.

As for the companies that charge a lot but supposedly give you more - thats what they're supposed to do! I don't know any designers that don't give you multiple options and customizations or file formats. Thats what you're paying for so don't believe their just being nice and helpful adding all that stuff in for you!

Oh wow I didn't know that, that's pretty cool. I didn't know it was a package deal so I was just throwing that out there if there was an extra fee.

Hey im a cheerie from the U.K. and i am also a graphic designer! I do all the designing for my team and i have also done loads of logos, t shirt designs and websites for other teams here in the U.K. and a few in the states too :) I would love to help you out.
